Chuck Minert (Han). Brooks flows to victory at SMX By Terry Whytal ORANGE, CA, MAY 12 Honda pilot Larry Brooks powered to the 250cc Pro cia s win at this week's Saddleback Motocross event. Brooks controlled the action throughout most of the day with fellow Honda rider Dean Welsh chasing Brooks to the checkers. Yamaha-moullled Kris Bigelow rode two consistent moLOS to place third overall. Kawasaki rider David Noel topped the Mini Novice race over Suzukimounted Eric Litzenberg. Shawn SlaYLOn rounded out the LOp three on board his KX80. Kawasaki pilot Alan Kent and Honda-mounted Benght Johansson battled in the Vet Intermediate race with Kent edging out Johansson for the overall win as Maico aficianado John Tartaglia earned third-place honors. Juan Posca bested a tough field of 250cc Intermedia te riders on board his YZ250. Chasing Posca LO the checkers were Honda pilots teve Coster and Casey McCoy, who ended the day second and third overall respectively.
