CARVER, STOLLINGS LAND ROOF
SYSTEMS SPONSORSHIP
J
effrey Carver Jr. and Kevin
Stollings Jr. announced that
Roof Systems will be their title
sponsors for the 2018 American
Flat Track AFT season.
As for Carver, Roof Systems
comes on board in addition with
Ben Evans Racing. The team
has also received additional
support from Indian of Metro
Milwaukee and will feature the
Indian FTR750 (with the option
to run last year's bikes) in its
battle against the factory squads
for the 2018 American Flat Track
premier-class title.
"He reminds me of the '70s,
that era, that type of flat track
racer," said Roof Systems owner Jerry Stinchfield
of Carver. "He's got this grittiness. He's got this
attitude: 'this is who I am, if you don't like me,
tough.' He's just good people. Also, he's really
truly coming into his own. I've been watching him
for a long time and I think this year is the year
for Jeffrey Carver. We're aiming for the champi-
onship. I think we're going to win some races,
just like he put a whooping on them last year in
Texas."
Roof Systems will be
Stollings' title sponsor for
this year's AFT Singles
Championship. Since his
debut in the series in 2016,
Stollings is considered as
one of the sport's rising
stars. The 18-year-old built
on his debut season of five
podium finishes with two
wins in 2017 and six podium finishes. He finished
both seasons fifth in the points standings with a
small, family-run privateer effort and heads into
2018 with his eyes set on the AFT Singles title
and extra support from Roof Systems owner
Jerry Stinchfield Jr.
In addition to going after the AFT Singles
Championship, Stollings will be using a provi-
sional to race both Springfield Miles aboard the
Stollings Racing Indian Scout FTR750, and looks
forward to making his first-ever AFT twins main
event. CN
