hayna Texter, who celebrated
five national victories in 2017,
will team with Husqvarna Motor-
cycles in the AFT Singles division
for the 2018 American Flat Track
season.
"I'm thrilled to be part of the
Husqvarna Motorcycles family,
and to be riding such a proven
motorcycle," said Texter. "I'm out
to win the AFT Singles champi-
onship this season, for sure, but
also to showcase the legendary
Husqvarna brand and have a
blast racing motorcycles along
the way. It's a really special and
exciting opportunity for me."
Texter will ride the number-52
Husqvarna FC 450 for her own
team in 2018, with support from
the factory.
"Husqvarna Motorcycles be-
lieves strongly in supporting the
female riding movement," said
Jenna Parker, Husqvarna Motor-
cycles Marketing Manager. "This
is an ideal match for us. Shayna
is not only a ferocious competi-

also displays great character and
humility. We're delighted to be
working with her."
"American Flat Track is grow-

directions," said Michael Lock,
CEO of American Flat Track.
"Having Husqvarna Motorcycles
competing in our AFT Singles
class and partnering with one
of our top competitors is great
news for Shayna Texter and
also for the entire sport. We are
grateful to Husqvarna Motorcy-
cles for their vote of confidence
in AFT, and we are all looking
forward with great anticipation to
see the evolution of their project
during the 2018 season." CN
