Yamaha's Aaron Plessinger had
put a lot of pressure on himself
to take home a title in 2018. He
felt like he was the lead man on
the team in 2017, and after five
titles going to his teammates
Jeremy Martin and Cooper
Webb, his team expected the
same from Plessinger. But he
struggled. Fast-forward to 2018,
which might be Plessinger's final
year in the 250SX class, and
he's shown he can handle cham-
pionship pressure, retaking the
points lead with a win in Arizona
after a dismal showing a week
earlier at Anaheim II.
Justin Barcia is more
than just a fill-in rider
for Yamaha—he's a
serious contender
for the 450SX
Championship. He's
only nine points out
of first.
