"I'm so glad I got the hole-
shot," Musquin said. "I mean, I
was looking at the straight line
and it was full of water. I watched
the 250s and it was hard to
watch. I mean, I got the hole-
shot. It was the perfect way to
start that moto and just tried to
be smart out there. Just tried not
to get passed. Stay in the lead
lightning out, and by the time
racing started back up for the
second motos, and the sec-
ond 250MX moto was run, the
450MX class set up to tackle the
incredibly muddy Unadilla circuit
for a shortened 20 minutes plus
two laps.
Musquin just set his sights on
a holeshot, then got it, and then
led every lap of the moto, taking
hard. Man, it was a lot of water
on the track. It was getting hard
to see. So I'm glad to get the
win, without a checkered flag.
But, I saw lightning at one point
and I knew that the red flag was
going to come out. Blake was
pushing behind."
The track went dormant for
two and a half hours while the
fans and participants waited the
