midpack and was able to work
his way all the way up to fourth
at the finish. Late in the moto,
after passing Plessinger's team-
mate Colt Nichols for fourth, it
seemed as if Osborne was going
to get around Plessinger as well,
but he had a massive moment
with a couple of laps to go when
he almost swapped out just past
Glen Helen's super-fast first turn
and seemed to decide to back
it off a notch. Nichols finished
right on Osborne's tail in fifth,
took off, winning over Monster
Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's
Joey Savatgy, who kept Osborne
honest throughout the race.
Savatgy looked like a new man
compared to the last few weeks
and seemed to be on his game.
Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha's
Aaron Plessinger fought his way
up to third before he settled in,
unable to eat into the gap be-

Osborne was the biggest mov-
er in the first moto, as he started

Consistency was also at a major
premium in the 250MX class at
Glen Helen. It was at a premium
at Hangtown, too, but not for
the winner, Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna's Zach Osborne, who
went 1-1 at the opener. At Glen
Helen, he was the most consis-
tent yet again, but not dominant
like he was a week earlier.
In the first moto, Geico
Honda's Jeremy Martin snared a
massive holeshot and then just
Jeremy Martin
had starts like
this in both
250MX motos.
This one led to a
first-moto win.
