and this and that. It's not what
I'm used to. Hopefully next year I
can be more like I was before."
But for Tomac, at least on
Sunday at Glen Helen, it was
among the most dominant races
he's had since he was winning
everything early in the 2015 MX
National Championship.
"I just ate too much dirt
today!" Tomac said. "My starts
weren't the greatest. The first
moto wasn't so bad—I had to
make a few passes, and eventu-
ally worked my way to the front.
Shoot, I don't know, we made a
few changes from yesterday—a
couple things on the shock. I
was struggling a little bit yester-
day in the qualification race, and
I was like, 'Man, I need to be a
little bit better for tomorrow.' We
made changes, and went the
right direction. It wasn't exactly
better on the start straightaway,
but it was good on the track.
For sure, Glen Helen is a tough
racetrack. Those were long
30-minute motos."
Overall, Tomac took the win
over Cairoli (2-2), Gajser (4-3),
Nagl (3-4) and Honda's Gautier
Paulin (10-5). Tomac, amazingly,
finishes the MX World Cham-
pionship 22nd in points with
100 after winning all four of the
motos in which he competed.
