really like it, so I had 20-25 min-
utes in my tank, and after that I
started making mistakes. Eli was
very good. Much faster than me
in certain points. He had very
good speed, so I couldn't really
hold on. But it's okay like this. I
know this season was very tough
for me—one of my worst, I think,
with my feeling and riding style

"Last week, I was very sick in
Charlotte, and I had to take a lot
of medicine—antibiotic and this
and that—and I stopped taking it
only Wednesday," Cairoli said.
"I knew it was going to be hot
here, so I knew it wasn't the best
thing, but I felt better. The track
was really nicely prepared, and I
lead racers, and even though
Cairoli was nearly 10 seconds
ahead of Tomac by the time
he got into fourth place, in the
course of four laps, he caught
and passed Nagl, Gajser and
then Cairoli to take over the lead.
Once he took the lead, Tomac
took off yet again, winning by
more than 16 seconds over Cai-
