CHAMPIONSHIP
VOL. 53 ISSUE 6 FEBRUARY 17, 2016 P41
STORY AND PHOTOGRAPHY BY STEVE COX
P
arity is defined in motorsports by a large number of win-
ners. If you remove defending champ (and 2016 dominant
force) Ryan Dungey from the series, this is how things
would look at this point: There would be four different winners
(Chad Reed with two, Jason Anderson with one, Ken Roczen
with two, and Cole Seely with one) in the six races run so far, and
the top five in points would be separated by 15 points.
But alas, if it were that easy to remove the Red Bull KTM
defending champ, his competition would've done it by now. As
it sits, he's now won four of the six races run so far, finished
second in the other two, and now leads the points by 26 with 10
rounds still to run. Rarely have we seen such a dominant early-
season performance. It's his championship to lose.
