. Alex let out his
frustrations in the second moto by grab-
bing the early lead. Only one rider—Mus-
quin—passed him the whole race, which
resulted in a career-best moto finish. His
11-2 gave him fifth overall.

KTM swept the 250 podium at Glen Helen
with Musquin taking the overall victory
ahead of teammate Justin Hill and TLD/
Lucas Oil/Red Bull/KTM rider Jessy
Nelson. For Hill, it was a bright spot after
what has been so far a dark season. He
was slammed by injuries in Supercross
and suffered a crash and mechanical
problems at Hangtown, but everything
finally came around for him at Glen Helen.
Hill looked very good and confident on the
bike. He finished a strong second to Mus-
quin in moto one and a fifth in moto two.
Hill got a little lucky when TLD/Lucas
Oil/Red Bull/KTM's Shane McElrath
passed his teammate Nelson for third late
in the second moto; that move effectively
dropped Nelson from second to third
overall, moving Hill up a spot.
