Roberts led from the outset aboard
his GPR/Kenda/Moose Racing 450
SX-F, while Crawford worked his way
up from row two on his Wilson's Mo-
torcycles/SRT/Sidi 250 XC.
By lap two, Crawford was 30 sec-
onds behind Roberts but closing fast.
As the 45-minute race wound down,
he poked his front tire past Roberts
a few times but couldn't make a pass
stick.
But as they headed towards the
checkered flag, Roberts suddenly
flew off the track, through the ban-
ners and tipped over!
Crawford stayed on course, passed
his training partner and took both the
Vet Lightweight Expert and overall
Vet win for the fifth time this season,
handily sealing the class number-one
plate again. Roberts managed to strip
the banners from his bike and make it
to the checkered flag second overall
and first Vet Heavyweight Expert to
clinch that class championship, both
in GP and desert points. Max Eddy
Jr. took second Vet Heavyweight Ex-

Mini Novice, Jake Alvarez moved to Super
Mini Advanced at round six. At Elsinore,
he chased early leader Joey Schoeningh
for most of the race, passing for the lead
and winning on the last lap.
(Below) Paul Krause spent most of
Saturday's Magnum (50 and over) race
chasing Fred Hatch but snuck past on
the final lap to steal the win.
