ALVARO BAUTISTA
Alvaro Bautista left his lucky rabbit's foot at home, it seems.
The only factory rider on Showa suspension (and Nissin brakes)
battled all weekend for grip, and lost it spectacularly with a near
record-height highside in FP3. Amazingly he didn't break anything;
and came back grim-faced to qualify a lowly 14th. He wasn't even
halfway around the first lap of the GP when he and Yonny Hernan-
dez collided, and his race was over.
Alvaro Bautista had a horrible weekend.
This crash in practice didn't help.
