when I really needed it. I could
see the gap and kind of maintain
it, and if I needed to pick up the
pace I could. It's been a while
since I've had this kind of speed
in reserve. And I felt really com-
fortable doing it."

"I'm not too fond of this track,
I've had some pretty big get-offs
here, and that's always in my
mind, so to come here and get
a win is good," said Stewart. "I
feel like we're pretty close to be-
ing there. Today, and even last
weekend, I felt really good, and
to this weekend's race at High
Point, the Yoshimura Suzuki crew
has come a long way in a relative-
ly short period of time.
"To get sixth place at Glen Hel-
en, and then to finally win a moto
last week, and then to come
out here and do this shows a lot
of progress," said Stewart. "It
shows we are gradually improv-
ing and we will only get faster as
the season goes on."
Roczen arrived on the scene and
diverted Canard's attention away
from Stewart and to the challeng-
ers behind him.
The bottom line is that in both
motos Stewart appeared to have
more than enough speed to deal
with anything the competition
threw at him, which should be
plenty of reason for the rest of the
field to be nervous at this point in
