dirt bikes and bringing back that
old vibe of having a good time
with your buddies."
A big part of "that old vibe"
came back at the SoCal Vintage
Motocross Classic through the
voice of a special guest announc-
er Larry "Supermouth" Huffman.
Supermouth, along with Bike
Week Radio Show's Rick Lake
called the action on the track
throughout the day, bringing
back phrases like, "Smoother
than a mayonnaise sandwich!"
"That really brought back some
great memories," said vintage en-
thusiast Jim Turner. "I remember
hearing him at the Coliseum back
in the '70s!"
Other recognizable names in-
cluded Tom White, who kept him-
self busy by racing both the Vin-
tage Classic and the REM series
that was also taking place at Glen
Helen that Saturday.
After the dust settled from the
"seasoned hardware," it was
time for the modern bikes to
take to the course. Collier once
again highlighted the Modern
Two-Stroke class by dominating
the first moto aboard his Kawa-
saki KX500. The Fasthouse rider
Dubach leads
Sean Collier
in the Marty
Tripes race.
