moto win and went after the Califor-
nian, Kelley, big-time. Kelley, how-
ever, wanted to show that he's a lot
better than his previous day's eighth,
so the two fought nose to tail lap af-
ter lap, putting on a great show for
the spectators. It wasn't until two laps
from the end that one of them made
the first mistake, with Kelley botching
a turn just enough to let Wentworth by
him. On the next and last lap, Wen-
tworth made a very similar mistake,
giving the lead back and eventual win
to a very happy Kelley, who said he
felt that his two-stroke had the slight
horsepower advantage on the uphills
and Wentworth's Honda the torque
