Schoolboy Intermediate Thru-17
class, which produced one of the
best battles of the week. It was a
classic 250cc two-stroke versus
250cc four-stroke duel between
Yamaha YZ250 pilot Derek Kel-
ley and Honda CRF250R rider
Buddy Wentworth. Kelley got out
front early but Wentworth, who
won the first moto the day before
with Kelley finishing eighth, was
determined to get the Yamaha
rider.

need to pass Kelley to nab the
overall victory (though he did
