OFF ROAD PARTS UNLIMITED OFF-ROAD MOTORCYCLE AND ATV NATIONALS ROUND 1/APRIL 19, 2014 KIRKPATRICK FAMILY FACILITY/MEMPHIS, MISSOURI P116 My Own Race: 16 ADAM BONNEUR 4TH PRO 4 TH O/A Woodstock KTM/Maxxis/Fly Racing 450 XC-F-mounted Adam Bonneur said of his race, "We were all riding to- gether and we stuck together for about two laps so that was kind of a nice change of pace for me. I was kind of towards the back [of the lead pack] and that was fine with me, watching everything kind of happen. Me and Jimmy [Jarrett] actually stuck together most of the day, and Jimmy and I went back and forth. It seems like every time I got in front of him, I'd crash real hard. I finally got in front of him and I finally kept it on two wheels and fourth is where I ended up." 2 NICK FAHRINGER 5TH PRO 19TH O/A AirGroup/Radiant Racing Husqvarna's Nick Fahringer ran in the lead group but running out of gas erased every gain he'd made and then some, placing him 19th overall. "Just holding her to the throttle stop and she drank too much," he said. "It was fun; I was up there battling with Paul and Jason. I had to pit a lap early, so I lost a little time. Stew and I battled, and I think we were gaining on the guys in front. I passed my pit hand there holding the gas can; I was like, 'We're going for it!' And it went a little too far and I ended up pushing it." 412 MARK HERESCO 1ST PRO 2 5TH O/A "The track was just as good as the Moose Run last year; it had everything in it - wide open, fast, slow, loamy, mud holes, whatever you needed," Pro 2 winner Mark Heresco said. The SRT/Kenda/Tire Balls KTM-mounted rider's first OMA was the Moose Run, which he also won. 44 JIMMY JARRETT DNF After moving to Idaho over the winter, four-time OMA champ Jimmy Jarrett decided to return to the series where he helped make his name, though he isn't taking a run at a fifth series championship. Now mounted on a Point View Cycles/Bell Helmets/Moose Racing KTM 450 XC-F, he started well and ran just behind the lead pack for a while, though that didn't last. "I got tangled up with a lapper and it sent me into the deep part of a mud hole. I got stuck and the chain bound up or something and the bike wouldn't go anywhere, and I couldn't lift it out of the rut." Having taken a break from racing last year, he knew it'd be unrealistic to think he could run with the leaders for the whole race. "I figured I could go fast for a little while but not the whole race and that's kind of what happened." He added, "I'm pretty irritated with today, but there was nothing I could re- ally do about it."
