Plessinger was impressive on
the rough and rutted Daytona
course and came away with ti-
tles in the 250 A/Pro Sport and
450 A/Pro Sport classes, the

backed rider working his way
into the lead early and then pull-
ing away to big leads in both
races, although he had to come
from back of the pack in the
250 race, a race that had to be
restarted after a few laps when
Gains went down and had to be
taken to the hospital.
Venemotos Yamaha's Carlos
Badiali took the early lead on the
restart of the 250 race over Ya-
maha's Jacob Williamson. Pless-
inger, though, moved into the
lead at the end of the first lap,
only to bobble and hand the lead
back to Badiali. Plessinger came
back and took the lead for good
on lap two of the seven-lap final.
"I was almost last in the first
turn on the restart, but I just
pinned and passed a bunch
of guys and ended up in fourth
at the end of the first lap," said
Plessinger. "The next lap and I
was able to get into the lead. The
