SUPERCROSS FIFTH ANNUAL MONSTER ENERGY RICKY CARMICHAEL DAYTONA AMATEUR SUPERCROSS MARCH 9-10, 2014 DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL/SPEEDWAY DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA P130 track is pretty brutal and you just have to make your own luck." TriangleCycle Yamaha's Keith Tucker edged out Badiali for sec- ond at the finish. Forkner claimed his title in the prestigious and competitive Super Mini (12-16) division after grabbing the holeshot, leading every lap and crossing the finish line with over nine seconds to spare over second. "The track was pretty gnarly, but I had first gate pick and I was able to pick a good line and get the holeshot," said Forkner. "I tried to sprint the first few laps to get away, and then I put it on cruise control for a while just to avoid mistakes. This track can jump up and bite you at any time. It's a good racetrack, though, it has places to separate the rid- ers." Second place went to KTM's Cameron Cannon, while third was Kawasaki-mounted Joey Crown. The 250 All Star A/B class mixes the best with the best from the A and B classes, and newly signed Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Zachary Commans came out on top of a good battle with B rider Alexander Frye to get the win. "I got the holeshot and just tried to put in solid laps," said Commans. "Alex Frye was riding really solid from the B class and he kept me honest. He was rid- ing solid but by halfway I had a pretty good lead." Frye was the highest placing B Mackenzie Tricker dominated the Women's final. Jalek Swoll claimed the Mini Sr. (12-14) title.
