holeshot winner in every race.
Off course, the races' name-
sake, Ricky Carmichael, was
on hand to preside over the fes-
tivities in addition to helping out
with sign-up, track preparation
and awards presentation.
"I'm really excited to see the
growth in the event this year,"
said Carmichael. "The OEMs
have really stepped up their
support for the event this year
and I'm very thankful for that.
It shows that all the hard work
and determination everyone
has put into this event is pay-
ing off and I'm glad that they
noticed it."
There was also a number of
industry "heavyweights" in town
for Saturday's pro race who
stuck around for the amateur
race to scout up-and-coming
talent.

the race in person, video cam-
eras captured all the action for
a first-time-ever "around-the-
world" live broadcast on Rac-
erTV.com.
On the track, there was plen-
ty of tight racing to go around,
with several big-time amateur
racers attending this year's
event, including current AMA
Arenacross star Aaron Pless-
inger, who was hot off of win-
Aaron Plessinger was
the top Pro-class rider.

took top
honors in the
Supermini
(12-14)
division.
