MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
ROUND 6/FEBRUARY 8, 2014
QUALCOMM STADIUM/SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA
P56
last week after crashing out with
a DNF. In San Diego, he looked
very impressive while winning his
heat race over Stewart, Justin
Brayton and Reed, but the Red
Bull/KTM Team rider couldn't
make it happen in the main event.
He was running fourth on the first
lap but got shuffled back to sixth
when he got off his line in the
rhythm section. He got back up
to fifth and was pressuring Reed
on the last lap when Reed went
down and ended up fourth.
"It was much better that last
week, for sure," said Dungey.
"I made a mistake in the rhythm
section and I almost went down.
I just need a little better start; this
is a tough group of riders and it's
hard to make up ground. I'm just
looking forward to going to the
East Coast."
Dungey has proven that he has
the speed to win but needs to get
good starts in order to challenge
for the wins.
PEICK NOT A FLUKE
Weston Peick proved that last
week's top-five finish at A3 was
no fluke by any means. He again
finished fifth in San Diego after
coming from outside the top 1.

outstanding ride. The privateer
picked off some of the factory boys.
