temporary. "It was me and Justin
coming in [at the end of the first
loop]. We got lost about two miles
back--they didn't pass us so we got
back on course and we were going
and he was pushing me. As soon as
we left [the pit], I was thinking he was
right behind me. I just went straight
up the hill--I didn't even see the turn;
I just kept going. I got lost then Justin
passed me. Then he did a slow-mo
endo. We saw Axel and Nick go up
the hill and we're like, 'Oh no!' so we
cut across, banzaied, then we followed them."

much of the season due to surgery
and wanting to simply get through
the finale and get ready for next year
- but he couldn't help going all out
once he got a good start in the superb conditions.
"I always say that before the race,
