VOLUME 62 ISSUE 37 SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 P115 since Kenny Roberts reigned supreme in 1973 and 1974. Despite getting edged by Daniels, Lowe finished fourth in the race and in the '25 points, taking Mission AFT SuperTwins Rookie of the Year honors in the process. Bauman's younger brother, Bronson Bauman, scooped up a top-five finish in part-time duty, riding the Mike Butler Racing Yamaha to fifth ahead of Rackley Racing's Davis Fisher, who aimed to back up his historic Springfield victory with a finale podium. Rather than let him through, Daniels chose to fight it out. Wise or ill-considered, he made it work, finishing third behind Bauman and Robinson. That was more than good enough to earn the title he'd dreamed of attaining since childhood—Grand National Champion. It also handed Yamaha its first (unshared) GNC and then put his head down. He was followed in short order by Mission Roof Systems' Brandon Robinson, as the twin Harley-Davidson XG750Rs set off in pursuit of a combined ninth win in 16 races and the Manufacturer's crown after going winless in its prior near- decade of existence. Daniels, meanwhile, soon found himself under assault from American Honda Turner Racing's red-hot Trent Lowe, 79 DALTON GAUTHIER 6TH SINGLES/ 13TH SUPERTWINS Racing Unlimited /Parts Bros/D&D Cycles' Dalton Gauthier pulled double duty at the '25 finale. The first half of that assignment went reasonably well, rewarding the former AFT Singles class champ with a sixth-place finish. Unfortunately, Gauthier got caught up in the big crash near the opening of the premier-class main and was unable to finish the race. Prior to the Mission AFT SuperTwins contest, he said, "The day started off slow. I think we were like 11th in qualifying and ended up making some moves in the heat race. I got fourth, and that set me up for an outside pick on the second row in the main. I got a good start and was right around the top five the whole race. I finished sixth, which I'm pretty stoked about. It's a solid ride for me." MYOWNRACE
