overall podium in the 450MX class. The Husqvarna rider claimed second on the podium in what is sure to be remem- bered as his breakout ride of the year. Hampshire battled up front for nearly all of moto one, and once the dust settled, he was credited with third. This set him up nicely for the day's overall podium, as a hard-fought fourth in moto two—along with moto-one winner Sexton crash - ing out—earned him a spot on the overall box. Hampshire did score a moto podium earlier in the year, but a second overall is his best finish to date in his debut 450 season. "I feel like I found a little bit more speed over the break," closing stages, and a pass on Eli Tomac sealed the deal as a 2-2 result granted him top honors for the day. "There was a lot of wild stuff that went on today, which helped. Eli was like the dangling carrot in front of me," Lawrence said. "He had that little mistake where he stalled it, and I was just close enough to capital - ize. I didn't want to just settle. I wanted to push forward again after my mistake, which caused me to fall short of the finish line. I tried to push through and never give up, to feel like I still did work for the win rather than it just falling in my lap." RJ Hampshire also celebrated a day of firsts, earning his first VOLUME 62 ISSUE 32 AUGUST 12, 2025 P61 on the last lap to finish fifth in the moto and lock in fifth overall. Defi- nitely a good day for me." 27 MALCOLM STEWART 8TH (9-7) 450MX Malcolm Stewart put together two top-10 results for eighth overall. "I always have fun here, and, overall, I think that there were a lot of positives to take away from it. We did the best we could in moto one, and I actually felt good around the racetrack as I had some good lines. I had a decent start in moto two—did my best again, rode my own race, and just applied myself. It was pretty hot today, and I think a lot of us were feeling the heat in that one." MYOWNRACE 56 SETH HAMMAKER 10TH (9-12) 250MX Seth Hammaker qualified fastest early in the day but narrowly squeaked into the top 10 come the two gate drops. "Today had its ups and downs," said Hammaker. "Qualifying went great, and I knew I had the speed. Moto one didn't go how I wanted after a bad start, but I was able to push hard and make up some ground. Moto two started better, and I stayed close to the leaders, but I just didn't have quite enough in the final laps."
