third in the closing laps to make
it a Red Bull KTM podium sweep.
Despite his charge, Laengen
-
felder still lost valuable points to
race
winner Adamo.
Race two saw muddy condi
-
tions, but Coenen still came
away with another holeshot,
his
seventh of the season. The
young Belgian took the lead and
controlled the race as the laps
wore on. Meanwhile, the battle
for the overall podium was on as
three riders all sat tied for a spot
on the box. Benistant, Valerio
Lata and Laengenfelder were all
further back in the pack, strug
-
gling for every position.
With Coenen
up front, Span-
ish rider Guillem Farres started
second
and looked comfortable
in the slick conditions. He rode
a smart race and found himself
in the lead on the final lap once
Coenen crashed spectacularly
off the track and out of the top
spot. This shook up the overall
podium as Farres went on to
take the race win and second
overall. Kay de Wolf held on
for second, with Adamo cross
-
ing the line third and taking the
overall
win in the process. Late-
race crashes for Coenen, Lata
and Benistant gave de Wolf the
edge for the final podium posi
-
tion. Adamo's win also gave him
the red plate
in the series points,
as he now leads by three over
Laengenfelder.
"I won race one, and that was
really important, but in race
two I knew I had to ride smart,"
Adamo said. "I didn't get the
holeshot and was around fourth,
and in these conditions, it's more
about managing the situation
than taking big risks. I stayed
calm, controlled the race, and
brought home the overall win,
and with it, the red plate. It was a
great weekend, I couldn't ask for
more."
