Zmarzlike Takes Landmark Win in Prague

artosz Zmarzlik, Poland's
five-time Speedway GP World
Champion, celebrated a signifi-
cant milestone in his illustrious
career by achieving his 100th
FIM Speedway Grand Prix ap-
pearance, along with a record-
extending 28th SGP victory.
Zmarzlik clinched victory at
the FIM Speedway GP of the
Czech Republic, held at the
famous Marketa Stadium in
Prague on May 31. He won the
final, finishing ahead of Swedish
rider Fredrik Lindgren, who took
second place, Denmark's Leon
Madsen in third and Australia's
Jack Holder in fourth.
Zmarzlik also regained the
lead in the Speedway GP World
Championship from pre-meeting
leader Brady Kurtz, moving up
to 53 points, while the Aussie
stands at 45 after crashing out
on the final turn of his last-
chance qualifier following a
close clash with Madsen.
Zmarzlik's third victory in
Prague—adding to his back-to-
back wins in the 2020 Marketa
doubleheader—crowned an as

tonishing century of Speedway
GP appearances for one of the
sport's all-time greats.
This comes in the year he is
pursuing a record-tying sixth
Speedway GP World Champion-
ship as he aims to become the
first rider in history to win four in
a row.
The 30-year-old Zmarzlik has
reached 64 finals in his career,
winning 28 of them, and he's
showing no signs of slowing
down.
