Roczen held on for third, his
first podium since his win in
Daytona. The HEP Progressive
Ecstar Suzuki rider is still bat-
tling an ankle and a shoulder
injury
but found himself lead-
ing the race after Justin Barcia
crashed
out of the top spot on
the opening lap.
"While I was leading, I didn't
care about anything; I was just
riding," Roczen said. "This track
was a problem for me because
it had five right-hand turns and
two left-hand turns. It is my right
ankle. I can rely on my left leg
and push it a little more. Right
now, I'm just waiting until I'm
straight and then getting on the
throttle because I cannot afford
should've started jumping that
quad sooner. Woulda-shoulda-
coulda on a lot of things. But he
rode great."
While Webb didn't seem
thrilled about his second-place
performance, a runner-up finish
only cost him three points, going
from 15 to 12. Even if Sexton
were to win the remaining
rounds and Webb finished sec
-
ond, the two would ultimately tie
in overall
points.
"I'm ready for the fight," Webb
said. "I'll be there at the end no
matter what."

DEANO'S RETURN
Dean Wilson returned to Super-
cross after nearly a year of "re-
tirement." The fan favorite is rac-
ing the last five rounds as a fill-in
rider for the Honda HRC Pro-
gressive team and finished 17th
overall. "I was struggling all day
with arm pump and just felt tight
and rusty," Wilson said. "Decent
ride in the heat, and the main [I]
got caught up in the first turn. I
came through the pack a bit then
had the arms of Popeye. Almost
died a couple times and stalled
it and lost positions. Decided we
need to make it through healthy
to the checkered, as I couldn't
even hold on to my bars."
BENNICK STATUS
After crashing early in the 250SX
main, which brought out the
red flag, Daxton Bennick was
evaluated on-site by the Alpin-
estars Mobile Medical Unit and
transported to a local hospital.
According to a statement from
his Monster Energy Yamaha Star
Racing Team, he will seek further
evaluation from his doctors this
week.
