"The first moto, they passed
me and left me and that kind
of rubbed me the wrong way,"
Plessinger said. "I just wanted
to come out and battle with
them in the second, which I did,
so I feel better about it. It was a
really good day, 3-3 and it's my
third podium in a row."
Malcolm Stewart earned his
best result of the year by going
6-5 for fourth, swapping spots
with Jason Anderson, who went
5-6 for fifth.
Christian Craig just missed a
top five in sixth, while Eli Tomac
Creek, making it a KTM sand

wich on the podium. The fan
favorite led the first three laps
early on in moto one after a
chaotic start but later dropped
back to third once his team-
mate Sexton secured the sec-
ond spot. Moto two saw Pless-
inger up front once again as he
started in second place, ready
to duke it out with the leaders.
He's undoubtedly the third-best
guy on the grid and has finished
no worse than fifth in the last
11 motos. AP again used his
consistency to gain a chunk of
points on Justin Cooper, who

WEBB OUT
Cooper Webb opted not to race this
weekend after reaggravating his
thumb during a second-moto crash
at Unadilla. "Sitting out this weekend
is not the news I wanted to share,
but very thankful that the scans all
came back good and just show a
sprain of my thumb," Webb said be-
fore the race. He plans to race again
for the start of the SMX playoffs.
TICKLE'S TOP 10
Broc Tickle raced his second of
two Pro Motocross events this
weekend. The Monster Energy
Kawasaki test rider made it a suc-
cessful race day with 9-10 scores
for eighth overall.
DEANO VS. CHIZ
Dean Wilson was back on the grid
for Budds Creek as he and Kyle
Chisholm are locked in a battle for
the final spot in the SMX points.
Riders inside the top 20 auto-
matically get into the playoffs but
Wilson sits one spot out in 21st.
Unfortunately for him, a DNF in
moto one and a 21st in moto two
didn't do him any favors. He's still
14 points back, while Chisholm
enjoys the final transfer position.
TEAM USA
Team USA's Motocross of Nations
team has still yet to be announced.
The event is only a few weeks
away and a decision is rumored to
be made next week at the Pro Mo-
tocross finale. Whispers in the pits
say the officials were waiting for
Tomac to return before finalizing a
team but after his 4-11 scores he
may not be a top pick for this year.
Sexton and Plessinger are likely
choices, with Deegan being the
odds-on favorite for the MX2 spot.
