The Pro Circuit Kawasa- ki rider battled in the front pack during both motos, going 3-1 to take top honors for the second week in a row. The second moto was a testament to his riding, as he led wire-to-wire in the nearly 35-minute race. This marks his third career overall win, his second in a row and even more remarkable when you consider he hadn't won a single one be - he salvaged a 10th in race two to keep him on the box, third overall for the day. "I dominated the first moto and was able to win the cham- pionship, so that was nice," Deegan said. "I ended up getting around him [Nicholas Romano], but where I was, I was pretty deep. I just wanted to hold the title up on the podium, that's all I was looking forward to. I wasn't risking it that moto; I was just out there having fun." Despite the war being won, logged a seventh with 4-11 finishes. The Star Racing Yamaha rider grabbed the ever- crucial holeshot and opened up a 25-second lead in the first few laps. With the champion - ship within reach, no one could touch the number 38, and even a late-race tipover couldn't deny him. After clinching in moto one, Levi Kitchen went wire-to-wire in the second 250MX moto.
