The number-96 stayed close to the lead and held off a hard- charging Jason Anderson late in the race. Hunter showed strong speed from the start of the heat race and used many of these successful lines again in the main event, staying within reach of the lead for the entire 23 laps. This is Hunter's second podium of the year and puts him eighth in the season points standings. Jason Anderson landed on the box in third for the second week in a row. The Monster Energy Ka - wasaki rider is picking up steam late in the season and moved into podium territory after an early fall by Eli Tomac. Anderson rode with poise at the closest Supercross to his home state of New Mexico, and he put enough pressure on the Lawrences to make them pick up the pace, VOLUME ISSUE MAY , P71 WEBB CONFIRMS THUMB INJURY On Sunday night, Cooper Webb confirmed details about a thumb injury. "I've obviously struggled these past few rounds, so I'll be transparent. I did tear my UCL in my thumb during the heat race crash in Birmingham.
