Tomac settled for fourth after
a disastrous 10th-place finish
a week ago. "This weekend
was an improvement over last
weekend," Tomac said. "I felt
pretty solid in the main event.
I was a little bit behind at the
start, and, for the majority of the
race, I was running in third. Then
Jett ended up getting me at the
end of the race, but it was an
improvement from the weekend
before."
Hunter Lawrence grabbed
his best finish of the year with a
fifth, marking the first time two
brothers have finished inside the
top five of a 450SX main event.

Lawrence talked about dicing
with Tomac: "It was just learning
how he flows and where the kink
in the armor could be," Lawrence

from him. I was looking for

ward to a battle, but I got on the
inside and still left a bit of room
but then just put my head down
and clicked the laps off."

"I didn't give myself the best
opportunity to go on for a win
