He made the most of his weekend with a perfect sweep of the qualifying race and both MX2 motos in front of his home- country fans. With these three race victories, and mistakes from both rivals Kay De Wolf and Andrea Adamo, Geerts solidifies himself second in the champion - ship and is now just 13 down from Adamo. "I couldn't be happier with 60 points in front of my home fans," said Geerts. "It was a really nice weekend; the track was tough, but I enjoyed every seconds out there. It is also looking good for the Championship, and I have to continue like this for the next races." Lucas Coenen's first time to the sand as a professional was a success as he claimed second with two second-place race finishes. The Belgian was the highest placing Husqvarna in the field as his teammate De Wolf didn't finish either moto. He crashed out of race one and didn't return. Simon Laengenfelder also ran a consistent day with two thirds. The GasGas rider finished third overall. Adamo's day didn't go to plan as he finished seventh overall.
