Star Racing Yamaha
teammates Jordon Smith (58)
and Nate Thrasher (29) duked
it out in nearly every race.
Tomac later lost two more posi-
tions to ultimately finish sixth.
His third overall still keeps him
in the points lead, now only two
over Webb and five over Sexton.
"To be honest I was really
slow over that dragon back,"
Tomac said. "I didn't realize how
fast that inside was and then I
got passed by Kenny [Roczen]
and AP [Plessinger] was making
time on me there. Just a frus
-
trating mistake right there losing
both wheels over the tunnel
jump."
250SX EAST
Arlington served as the first
Triple Crown round for the
250SX East division. The last
and SuperMotocross Champi-
onships earlier in the day and
aimed to carry that momentum
into the night show. The red-plate
holder looked strong with a win
in the first main, but his results
dwindled as the night wore on. A
fourth in race two still had him in
contention for the overall as he
got off to another good start in
the final main. Tomac held off a
hard-charging Sexton but made a
big mistake over the tunnel jump
and slid out.
"I was fine, just totally knocked
off my rhythm," Tomac said.
He quickly got back on his
Yamaha in fourth but handed the
podium positions over to Sex
-
ton, Webb and Jason Anderson.
