His 3-3-2 finishes tied him on final points with Webb at eight, but the overall was awarded to Webb on account of his final-race win. Sexton received second on the night putting him third in the championship. "The last main event, I washed the front in that corner, just came in a little too fast," Sexton said. "Eli was still in reach, I felt, and I had a really good pace. Obviously, I didn't get the win. Lapped traffic didn't help but everyone has to deal with the same stuff." Tomac announced his com - mitment for the Pro Motocross Oakland, he looked for redemp- tion in Arlington. He put on a phenomenal ride in race one, finishing third after tangling with Jason Anderson and being nearly dead last off the start. He then found himself third in race two after a battle with Monster Energy Star Yamaha's Eli Tomac. But it all came down to race three, as Sexton and Tomac again duked it out for the top spot. The 23 machine later tucked the front end while giving chase and essentially handed the lead over to Tomac.
