V Agusta, which just sold 25 percent
of the company to KTM, has taken the
wraps off the 921 S concept machine.
Those with a bit of history knowledge will no
doubt see the link between this and the 1973 MV
Agusta 750S, also known as the America, but
MV insists the design for the concept bike is not
merely a tribute to one of their greatest hits but a
platform that "pre-empts solutions and ideas that
are truly forward-thinking. The 921 will not be a
modern, or should we say contemporary, replica
of the 750S, but a tribute to that beguiling bike."
Powered by a new 921cc inline four-cylinder
engine, the 921 S has a very early 1970s aesthet-
ic but runs MV's tubular steel trellis design and
