imota took the wraps of its
new BX450 off-roader and
TERA sport bike.
Off-roader? Yes. You might
not associate Bimota with off-
road but that is about to change
with the new BX450. Look a little
closer, however, and you'll real-
ize it might not be so new—it's
essentially a KX450. Bimoto and
Kawasaki have a close relation-
ship and the BX450 is a product
of that association.
Bimota says there is more to
the BX450 than graphics. "The
homologated production ver-
sion of Bimota BX450, to be
based off of an actual Kawasaki
platform, will conceal behind
an enhanced electronic engine
management with different maps
and traction control settings as
well as Kawasaki's incomparable
engine," says Bimota. "The lim-
ited series Bimota BX450, 'The
Extreme Enduro,' will be unique
by combining the classic design
of the iconic KX450, 'The bike
that builds champions,' and the
Bimota craftmanships."
