Hunter Lawrence had a tough day, to
say the least. While coming through
the pack in moto one, he collided
with Stilez Robertson and went
down, nearly getting run over by
several riders in the process. It was a
scary crash, but he luckily escaped
injury. By the end of the race, he
re-passed Robertson and made sure
to let Robertson what he thought of
their collision after the race. Law-
rence's 6-8 gave him seventh overall.
He is still second in points but lost
ground to his brother, Jett.
ANSTIE
After a lackluster round at RedBud
with the new Firepower Honda team,
Max Anstie had a point to prove at
Southwick. The veteran Brit came
out swinging, qualifying second and
finishing sixth on the day with a pair
of fifth places.
LOCAL BOY
Southwick notoriously brings out
some of the fastest locals who know
the track better than anyone. This
time it was Connecticut's Chris
Canning who qualified sixth in the
450MX class on his Canning Speed
Establishment-backed GasGas and
ran up front with the factory boys in
moto one. Canning went 12-12 for
11th overall.
