Malcolm Stewart on track as the
two fought for third overall in the
series standings. Stewart got
Barcia and shortly after Barcia

Stewart in a 180-degree turn.

rode his tow for the duration of the
main. The number-23 never really
challenged Anderson for the lead,
finishing 2.3 seconds back at the
finish line. Sexton's consistency
has shown through in the final few
races, finishing on the box four
times in the last five rounds. He
locked down sixth in points.
"Minus the three races where
I didn't finish, everything else
was really good," Sexton said. "I
was in the top five pretty much
every race and eight podiums
and a win is a big progress from
last year. And that was my goal
coming into this year, to be a
little more calm, which, I still
had my moments out there, but I
made a lot of progression as far
as my riding and my mentality."
The final spot on the 450
podium went to none other
than Justin Barcia. "Bam Bam"
started the season with a third-
place result and finished it out
the same way. His result didn't

"It was a tough night for me to cap off
a season with a lot of highs and lows. I
think my season just spoke a lot to what
supercross is—both challenging and dif-
ficult—but also, there is glory to be fought
for. There were a lot of great moments
and building moments, and some of the
struggles are only fuel to the fire. I can't
wait for the outdoor season!"
