Jorski had taken some time off from racing with the OCCRA, but returned in a big way to lead 77-rider field through the mountainous cross-country course to the checkered flag. In the 200cc Amateur class, Chet Sullivan and Harvey Cobb collided as they entered a checkpoint Sullivan got pinned beneath the bikes, but both riders were uninjured.and went on to finish the race. Roy Gearhart won the 200cc Expert class over Mark Price. The two have been battling all season, along with series points-leader Mike Sullivan, who was slowed by a flat tire on the first lap. In the Novice division, it came down LO a three-way battle for the win between Steve Gallaher, Eddie Jones and Pete Sosenko. They rode tire to tire until the third lap, when Jones roared by the other two on his four-stroke Honda. "With so many riders from different classes on the track at the same time, I didn't know if I was in the lead," said Jones. Jones continued LO push, trying to pass the riders in front of him. He got a little out of shape in a rocky area and killed his engine and Gallaher took advantage of the mistake to move into the top spot Jones recovered LO finish second in his class. nSon' Broc Glover, Jeff Ward and many, many more! Buehl tops at Ohio MX By Susan Willian COLUMBUS, OH, AUG. 7 Team Peak's Jeromy Buehl topped the Pro riders at the Ohio State Fair motocross by winning the Lightweight and Heavyweight A classes. . The JO-lap first moLO in the Lightweight A class had Buehl as the early leader on lap one, followed by Chuck Reed. Buehl maintained his lead throughout the moLO despite encountering lapped traffic. Tommy CoJlier, in third, was pressured by Mark Musselman. Musselman made several attempts to get by CoJlier throughout the moLO but was unable to do so, and Collier landed third behind Reed. Buehl again was the early leader in moLO two, with Musselman in third on lap one. Musselman jockeyed for position to take over second from Reed, but Buehl was too far ahead for Musselman LO catch.. Buehl chalked up another win with Musselman second, and Reed's 2-3 score earned him second overall. Buehl again was LOp dog in the first round of the Heavyweight A class, pursued by James Eickel and Reed. Reed went by Ekkel over a jump LO take charge of second. Reed spent the remainder of the moLO chasing the leading Buehl, but couldn't catch him by the finish. Round twO was also won by Buehl, with Reed scoring another second-place finish. Results AUTO: I.
