over a double jump. Jeff Bargell charged late to challenge Taylor for the number two slot, but was unable to find an opening. In the second moto, it was Boston again taking the lead in the whoop-de-doos, as several riders went down in domino fashion. By Brenda Uhrich FREDERICKSBURG, PA, JUNE 21 Michael Bear won four motos at Sleepy Hollow Motocross Park, scoring first overall in the 250cc and Open Expert classes. Bear took the lead in each race from Bill Schmidt, who led all but one of the races out of the starting gate, but could not keep the lead from Bear. Brian Eichelberger was on Dave Kratz's rear· wheel throughout the first l25cc Expert moto, but couldn't find the room [or a clean pass and had to settle for second in the race. I In the second moto Eichelberger found himself in third position, chasing Ronald Beam for second place. Eichelberger made several pass attempts on Beam, including one in the final turn of the race. Beam didn't give up any room, however, and Eichelberger crashed and remounted to finish third. Running last in the ·race program and providing one of the most exciting races of the day was the 25 Plus class. Dav~ Green easily won the first moto, while Dave Wolfskill, Bob Sorenson and Brad Stepp Brae Glover, Jeff Ward and many,. many more! JfJ!I!!!,- :Northern Ca'iifornia Reno, NV Area Tolson tops at :New Bern MX NEW BERN, NC, JUNE 27 J.R. Tolson won the 80cc 12-15 division during the fifth race of the NAME Summer Series at New Bern on a slightly remodeled track. Tolson grabbed the holeshot in moto one, . while Mark Wagner and Jay Brown were close behind. Tolson gained a commanding lead when Wagner developed chain problems and lost momentum, slipping to a half-lap disadvantage. ·In moto two, Tolson was again out of the hole first but Brown soon zipped past hini. Moments later Tolson took a spill, but was quick to remount and was back in the race in third behind Brown and Wagner. Wagner then went down in some whoops, moving Tolson into second. Tolson slipped past Brown and pulled away, taking the checkered . with ease. In the 80cc 7-13 class Bryan Weatherly holeshot moto one but was quickly out]J3.ced by Jonathan Nirsch!. Brandon ~aniels and Brian O'Neal ran third and fourth. On the second lap Daniels edged out Weatherly for second and with one lap to go, shot past Nirschl for the win. In the second moto Nirsclll was in front from gate to flag.
