"I felt really good with the track and ob- viously felt good here last year and coming back here I was excited. The rain made the track pretty technical. It was pretty fast still, but I think it slowed it down a tad bit. I put myself in a really good position in the main event to win, heat race. Despite the oversized obstacles on the Atlanta infield, it was a slick turn where he made his mistake. A simple tuck of the front wheel put Sexton on the ground under his bike, losing his visor—and the win—in the pro- cess. It wasn't all over for Sexton though, as he remounted and sent it for the remaining laps. He set the fastest lap time of the race and later launched past and I knew Jason was going to be good, and Eli, obviously. I wanted to sprint away, and I just came into that corner and there was no way I could save it, it was just gone. VOHLAND STRUGGLING For the second week in a row KTM's Max Vohland failed to qualify for the 250SX main event. Not just for the main event, but for the whole show. The number-36 machine was clocked the 21st fastest time in qualifying, only 0.2 seconds from making the cut. This comes after he missed the early por- tion of the season due to injury. MCADOO OUT FORKNER IN Title hopes went out the window for Cameron McAdoo as his crash in St. Louis press day resulted in a grade three AC joint separation. On the other hand, Austin Forkner returned to action this weekend for the Pro Circuit Kawasaki team. He earned an impressive heat race win followed by a seventh in the main event. Briefly... Atlanta Supercross 450SX Highlights Last week's winner Marvin Musquin had a big crash on lap one. He went on to finish 10th.
