SUPERCROSS I MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES
250SX Showdown.
"Obviously anytime you win
is cool," Lawrence said. "East/
West is really good and every-
one is hearing about the East/
West deal, 'Oh who's going to
win' this and that. I feel like it's
the same for any opening round
or any race after some contro-
versy because it's always like
that. So, it's not really anything
new that you have to change
your approach, we just come
here to race. So that's what I
did, got a good start and just
went from there."

The older of the two Law-

start line third just ahead of his
Honda sibling. The Aussie duo
quickly moved into second and
third around RJ Hampshire,
while Jo Shimoda continued to
lead. A decisive pass by Hunter
Lawrence saw him move past
Shimoda and into the lead. From
there, Lawrence proved to be
the of the West, and the best
of the rest, taking victory in the
250SX EAST/WEST

the East/West Showdown. Rid-
ers from both regional champi-
onships faced off for bragging
rights and a shot at bolstering
their own points. The hype all
week surrounded Christian
Craig and Jett Lawrence as both
championship leaders looked to
wrap their titles up early. When
the checkers flew it was neither
of the red-plate holders, rather
