Jason Anderson was
in the right place at
the right time to win
the 450SX main event
at the Minneapolis
Supercross.
Webb. From there Anderson looked
to sit comfortably in second, cruis-
ing it in for another solid podium. To
Anderson's favor, however, Sexton
threw it away with a big crash with
only a lap-and-a-half remaining. The
fall handed the lead over to Anderson
who capitalized and earned his third
win of the season.
"I think my speed was good, that's
not anything I had a struggle with,"
Anderson said after mentioning he
"felt off" on the podium. "I just think
you had to have a lot of focus on the
track tonight… it just made it really
difficult on us for the whole main
event. The whoops were basically
endurocross through them. It was
just a tough track, it really was. But
speed-wise I felt good, you really just
have to focus to hit your marks really
well on a track like this. I think that's
more what I meant when I said that I
felt a little off."
Another win for Anderson cuts his
gap in the points race down to just
three behind leader Eli Tomac. During
Anderson's championship-winning year
of 2018, he won four races. This year
he's already up to three and is on track
to break his own personal record.
