T
he Monster Energy AMA Su-
percross season is hitting its
stride as the series headed
east to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for
round seven of the 2022 campaign.
While the competitors in the 450SX
are deep in their title fight, round
seven served as the kickoff race for
the 250SX East Regional Cham-
pionship. A host of fresh faces are
eager to drop the gate and kick off
their own series.
With outside temps hovering
around the zero mark, it was up to
the race action to provide the heat
for the night. A surprising end to the
450SX main saw Jason Anderson
claim his third win of the season,
while Jett Lawrence lived up to the
preseason hype and ran away with
the 250SX victory.

Before this turns into another
Anderson domination story, let's
just say he wasn't exactly running
away with this one. The number-21
Kawasaki started inside the top
three and stayed close to the lead
all race long. Anderson tailed
Honda's Chase Sexton and moved
into second place after getting
around defending champ Cooper
