Boehm clicked a 7-1 for third over Borroso and Vern Coupland. Old Timers and Veterans still make for an exciting class, wi th Jerry DeKay and Steve Ferroni circulating the track at near regular Expert speeds. Ferroni led and won the first round, but had·a problem in the second with DeKay the overall winner. The 125cc Pro was a knuckle buster between Jim Olson and Jim Cressa, with Olson·taking the overall. Langley and his' Petaluma Cycle Center Honda wasted little time in exerting efforts upon the 250cc Experts. Larry Lengner led with Bob Davis and Langley in hot pursuit over Beau Magly, Howie Ross and Jerry Cabral, but after the first lap, it was Langley in control. In the second round, Ross tried an inside line and dumped it while Langley went off again. Davis and his Cycle West Suzuki was the only one close in the first round. He slipped to third behind Magly in moto two to wind up third overall in. front of Ross. Lance Homer found himself the only Junior-rated Mini kid and won the overall little bike incident with ease, but only after working around the likes of Troy Lindemann, Ray Crumb and Matt Brake. Scott Bowser ran his first ever competitive run and took sixth behind Eric Nordin and Craig Philips. Lindemann aced both Novice portions while Crumb had a 2-3 for second over Brake at 4-6. Open Novice was a wild one, with Tim O'Hara riding the G 8c B Kawasaki to the overall with a pair of threes, all in close quarters.
