Eric made his pass at the entrance to turn tw o , a 100 mph lef t h a nder. He th en set his sights o n G lover who by that time had a five seco n d lead. By the next ti me 'ro u nd Eric had cut th e lea d to four seconds. Mean w hile, Dan Coe had been working h is way through tr a ffic a nd wa s sta rt ing to make a bi d, but he d id n't fin d it as easy as he did with th e riders behind h im. Coe closed with in a coup le bikelengths of Ko ndo , but he was unable to get by. The pair flew arou n d the race track wi th Coe so meti mes closing within a bikelength , but never finding enough of an ed ge to get by Er ic, until Kondo m issed a do wn shift goi n g into tu rn nine, a tig h t left -h anded hairpin. That was th e chance Coe wa s h o pin g for. H e made his pass a nd mana ged lO ho ld onto it in th e dra grace past the start/ fin ish . But, Glove r had increa sed h is lea d to 10 seconds by tha t ti me and Coe could not ca tch him. T he ra ce ended with Glover takin g the wi n , Coe in seco nd and Eri c Kondo in th ird .
