Glover wins F -4 1 Laguna Seca RRa' By Frank Nellis Photo by Bob by Brannon MONTER EY, CA, AUG. 29 The American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) North met at Laguna Seca Raceway today for the second time in the 1982 season. The sun was warm and the races sizzled. Some of the hottest racing of th e da y occurred during the Formula IV and IVA race. The class is limited to 125cc motorcycles, but the small displacement doesn 't mean they don 't go fast. These Yamaha and Honda GP bikes have the same power to weight ratio as a TZ250. Terry Yarger took the holeshot, followed closely by Jeff Leggitt on his D&D Foreign/Dunphy's Tavern TZl25 and John Glover. Glover managed to pass Yarger in the corkscrew on the first lap, while ri ding Yarger's backup bike - an air cooled Honda that Yarger bought for $600. Talk about cheap racing! .
