Sher had it a little easier now: she got a brand new husband in Decemb er. and recently Swee t Duck Suzuki made one of their 185 Suzu kis into a 175 so they could sponso r her. Pretty, petite Joy Malis is a motorcycle racer. horsewoman and ba llet teac her . "The ballet co mes in . handy," quipped Joy . Her hu sband, Car roll , is p art o wne r o f Speed Sp ort in Van Nu ys, and they do the tuning... n arch , Chris Field s sta rte d goi ng to races with her dad , Do yle, and just never got ou t o f the habit . Chris has a unique job for a woman: she is a sales rep for a mo torcycle part s an d accessory hou se and says th e j ob is rea lly fun. " T he dealers are hap py to see me, and they almost a lways b u y some th ing." Patty Clagg, moth er o f th ree c hildre n. is in charge of pu blic relations for her husband's machine sho p, an d rides we ll enough to be sponsored b y the peopl e wh o used to sponsor Rich Th orwald son , CoB Mo tors in Hawt h orn e, Sa ndy Term in, divorced mother of three ch ildren, p ro babl y has [0 work hard er getting to the desert than most of us . Sh e also has to run dow n part s a nd try to find somebody to work on her bike. Kathy Ainglin and Judy Lovell have recently been admitted to the Desert Daisies, bringing them membersh ip to ten. T ha t makes the club big enough that th ey cou ld camp and pit toge ther, bu t with their hu sb ands in the Ch ec kers , Ram s, Pros pecto rs...well...where wo uld yo u cam p?
