ATLANTA 2 Tuesday night's race really tipped the series on its head. The series has become hyper-focused on the Webb/ Roczen rivalry, and the Honda pilot put down some fast laps during the opening qualifying sections. He took the second spot behind Jason Ander- son but was over a full second faster than Webb before the night show began. Armed with his level-headed attitude, Roczen took a dominant heat race victory. In the same race, Webb crossed the line in fourth position, SUPERCROSS MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUNDS 14-15 / APRIL 13 & 17, 2021 ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY / ATLANTA, GEORGIA P68 2 COOPER WEBB 450SX (6-1) "I have to give it up to my team, they gave me a compe ve bike tonight— we went back and figured some things out," Cooper Webb said a er Atlanta 3. "Honestly, I made so many mistakes and I really didn't ride well at all, but I dug deep. I saw Kenny out front, and he was riding awesome. I was trying to do everything I can and when he made that mistake, I saw blood in the water, and I went for it. I just wanted to win." MYOWNRACE 94 KEN ROCZEN 450SX (1-2) "I changed my mindset big- me for tonight's race," Roczen said a er Tues- day night's win. "It started already in free prac ce, with se ng the fastest lap me by just being aggressive. At the same me, we did some changes to the bike that helped out, but of course it's always unproven un l you start racing it. We did a bunch of changes throughout the en re day, and it really seemed to pay off. I was pumped with how I was riding, but I knew the main event was going to be a long one, just because of how tough and long the track was. I'm so pumped for Honda to have pulled off a first and second; it was a huge night for us, also in the points chase, and I hope we can keep this up and come back and ba le again for Atlanta 3." (Above) Roczen dominated Tuesday's Atlanta 2 and most likely would've won Atlanta 3 had it not been for an uncharacteristic solo crash while leading race three. (Right) Chase Sexton (23) followed his first career podium at Atlanta 1 with another runner-up at race two. Atlanta 3 saw his podium run come to an end.
