BLOSE BANGED UP
Chris Blose was involved in a big
crash during Saturday's 250SX
West main event that earned him a
helicopter ride to the hospital. The
next day, Blose reported, "Good
news is I am back home after a big
crash that wasn't even my fault.
After taking a helicopter to the hos-
pital and getting scans to my head,
neck and chest, everything turned
out to be okay with those. I got
lucky enough to only get a broken
thumb and a couple of fractured
ribs."
LAST-MINUTE
CHANGES
Honda's Hunter Lawrence actually
changed an entire shock moments
before the start of Tuesday night's
main. "We were struggling with bike
setup all day, and after the heat
race the team made a really good
decision," he said. "We made a
shock change for the main, and we
had to test it on the sight lap, when
I had to push to get a feel and make
sure we didn't have to change any
clickers; I was happy with how the
bike felt." Lawrence went on to fin-
ish second.
LIKING THE TRACK
Chase Sexton had back-to-back
second place finishes in Atlanta
(rounds one and two). "The faster
track really seems to be suiting me,
just having more room overall, to
move around a little bit and have dif-
ferent options," he said after Tues-
day's race. "I really liked the track
and obviously it's paying off with
getting on the podium twice here.
Second-place finishes are going to
get old really fast—I just want more."
